James Rosebrough invested in his first mutual fund at the age of 18. He saved up some money, went to the bank advisor and invested in the Putnam New Opportunity fund. James enjoyed investing and finance so much he switched majors from Pre-med to economics, completing his Master’s Degree in Financial Services.
Professionally, James owns and manages his Registered Investment Advisory firm “Strategic Financial Group”. James started working with clients professionally in 2001 where he started with Edward Jones Investments in Ohio before moving to Arizona in 2009. James continues with his education and holds several certifications including: Certified Annuity Specialist, Certified Estate & Trust Specialist, Certified Income Specialist, Certified Fund Specialist & Certified Tax Specialist.
Personally, James lives in Gilbert Arizona with his wife Jen and their son Noah. The family picked Gilbert because of the great weather and economic growth. James serves on the board of directors for his HOA and is part of the finance committee. James enjoys hiking, boating, jeeping and going to the beach. James still has goals to become fluent in Spanish, mediocre at guitar and obtain his pilot license.
Jen Rosebrough has had a wide variety of career experience. She has worked in banking, insurance, healthcare, real estate sales, and accounting. She discovered that accounting was the best fit for her personally and professionally and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting to begin to fulfill the requirements to become a CPA. She explored corporate accounting and tax accounting at the same time and quickly discovered that tax accounting is her true passion. She has applied for CPA candidacy and is actively studying.
Jen Rosebrough was born and raised in rural Ohio. She met and married her husband James in 1999. She and her family moved to Arizona in 2009 and have enjoyed not shoveling snow ever since. She has one son (Noah-17) whom she is currently helping become an Eagle Scout and an Automotive Mechanic.
Jen enjoys hiking, taking her Jeep off-roading and golfing, though she is not very good. Jen has also recently discovered a love for ballet and philanthropy. Jen has begun volunteering her time at the Mid-West Food Bank. Jen is looking forward to growing and serving others as a tax accountant and eventually as a CPA.
